Listing of Historic Preservation Review Board (HPRB) Cases
In an effort to help residents receive more timely notification of additions and new construction proposed for properties in the Capitol Hill Historic District, CHRS is posting the cases received by the Historic Preservation staff for each month. Not every case listed will be ready for that month's hearing, but most are. The best source of more information about each project will be the applicant/property owner.
CHRS encourages residents who are considering additions and extensive alterations to discuss their plans with their neighbors. Capitol Hill is a row-house neighborhood and many additions drastically affect neighboring properties. Sometimes fairly simple modifications can ease the impact on those nearby.
You may also call the Historic Preservation Office at 442-8818 for more information and, on the day before the hearing, for the scheduled hearing time. As a last resort, contact the Historic District Committee through the CHRS office, 543-0425.
Case postings may be found in the calendar details under the event 'HPRB Hearing' for each month. (View current HPRB Hearings.)
